Getting my feet wet

I don't know why this makes me nervous. I write all the time, and much of what I write is published on my web site. My intention here is to be more spontaneous--maybe that's what makes me nervous. Spontaneity is not my strongest attribute. But nevertheless, here goes.

Obviously, I'll be back. Soon

Well, I'm getting my feet wet, too. This is my first time on a blog and I confess I might give up, if this doesn't go thru;. I have tried several times to open a Google account so I could respond, but Hum.... annoyance.\
My response, tho', Don is to your wonderful postings of dates and times of the Solstices which are becoming more important occasions to celebrate for me than the traditional cultural ones. I love the idea of honoring the turns of the wheels of the Earth that keep us spinning in pretty predictable cycles in spite of the fluctuations of our more local (the planet instead of the cosmos) climate.

Odd, that my time of publication is Pacific Time, not Eastern.

Thanks for the response. I tune in to the winter solstice every year. Not sure why, but it seems a significant moment to stop and think about life. I do look forward to the lengthening of the days, with all that it promises. It's a thing about hope, I suppose. Glad you made it into the system.

About the time stamps -- mine show up as Pacific time, too, even though it's eastern time here.
